The "weisen-U" is a well-known stomach medicine brand. Its founder Hongkong Jianfeng weisen-U Co., Ltd submitted "weisen-U" trademark category in 5 registration application to the China Trademark Office in 2009. But the State Trademark Office made a rejection on the 7827837 "weisen-U" trademark registration in 2010. The reason for the refusal is that the word "stomach" in the trademark is used on the medicine misleading consumers the functional effect of the product and causing adverse social effects.
